It's the time of year where we can begin getting the turf down on the final plots and finally make them look the part! Here we go...!
August 12th - Hedge Line!

Now the plots have been created we can start with the finishing touches.....the sand line is where the new laurel hedge will be planted.......all bushes ordered and available at the beginning of Novemeber!
August 5th - The Final 12 plots created!

September - Tidying, Planning & Tinkering

We have been busy with lots of little jobs that just finish edges off here and there this month. Nothing major to report but we did find time to plant out 2 small gardens to the rear of some of the new pitches available. These will really look great once we get our hedge planting scheme underway!

All the turf is down for now and we can plan for the hedges. A lovely smooth flowing line has now been plotted for the hedge and tree line.....going to look lovely!!
August 6th - Turfing Time!

The last six pitches are now all ready to be turfed...the magic finishing touch we all look forward to! 600 rolls later and we have done! Next stage is to put in hedges, trees and then some proper tarmac roads and drives!
July 22nd - New Paths Down & Road Stoned

The footpaths have been put down and the roads stoned ready for tarmac. We can now make sure all soil levels are correct and get some turf in!
June 27th - On the move again!

We have now created and serviced the final phase of the latest development; time to begin moving topsoil from what will be the road to create the lawns and pitch frontages.......and then we can turf!!!

Lots of soil and hardcore is from here to there and back again and we are now beginning to see the shapes and land levels for the fifth phase of development.
Once this is done turfing can begin and then things will really transform!!!

Wow!! Already making a start on the fourth phase!! Not quite sure how we are managing this to be honest.....maybe my quickly thinning hair tells a tail!!
Phase 4 sees another 3 pitches being put in.....lots of the hard work on the drainage has already been done to get here which does help!

Now the waste tank has been accessed we can site the first holiday home on the the second phase of new development. Custom Fitrite decking fitted and now awaiting it's excited new owners!

Due to a quick change in ground level a retaining wall was put in along side one of the newly created pitches. Landscaping completed around it and then to finish it off it was clad by Fitrite in materials to match all new development decking.

Sadly some of our trees had been ivy strangled and had to be removed due to rot and falling deadwood. We are really pleased to have started a replanting scheme which will add some colour and new trees to the river boundary!

So after a little break over the winter period we are back at it moving on the next phase of new pitches! Clean hardcore is going in today ready for rolling and then topping with the final layer! Hard graft but rewarding to see it coming on!

We may have been quiet on here for a little while but I’m pleased to say the development has not stopped moving forward! We have spent a lot of time planning, and preparing for another stretch of tarmac road and driveways to be put down and now they are done!.......and now we are having a break!!!

We have now turfed and replanted the newly formed gardens at the exit of the Park Field Development. All plants had outgrown their tubs around the park and have been transplanted...looking lovely! Well done Helen, Kathryn & Simon

After much cutting, rolling, loading, unloading, laying over and over and over again....the turf is now all down and looking great! Really happy to see the results after a full season of having to imagine!!!!.....next stop will be hedge planting...watch this space!

All turf used is being reclaimed from plots which are still to be developed. The plots in this photo have now got electricity, water, mains drainage and since the turf has been removed they are now beginning to take shape!

Only one full day down and we have already completed the turfing on one pitch......what a difference!!! So very pleased with the final product. Plenty more hard days work and we will have all 11 of the first development covered in grass!!

We are very pleased to announce that many of the newly developed pitches will accommodate wrap around decking supplied by Fitrite. All decking has grey balustrades with maple effect deckboards. These come with an outstanding 20 year warranty, non slip surface, no splinters, warps, creaking or cracking!....and to top it off they look amazing!
